The Welsh singer-songwriter and novelist Cerys Elizabeth Matthews, MBE (/krs/; born 11 April 1969) is also a published author and broadcaster. She was a founding member of the Welsh rock band Catatonia. In addition to hosting a music show on BBC Radio 6 Music, Matthews has produced documentaries for television and radio stations including BBC Radio 2 and 4, and has served as a presenter for The Culture Show and The One Show. She contributes a column to Songlines and has written for publications such as The Guardian, The Times, and Grazia.
